Casco Bay

Video

Description

Under a mostly cloudy sky with occasional spots of blue, a digger wearing cyan gloves submerges a 5-tined hoe into incredibly sludgy and soupy mud. A small road bridge is in the distance and a small, shallow river flows through the mud that the digger is walking in. The mud is light brown at the surface and gray underneath, with occasional specks of debris. The digger works quickly and steadily, often yielding handfuls of clams at a time as they pull back the soft mounds of mud. They drop the handfuls of muddy clams into a white bucket which is near red mesh bags. Later, they stand to reveal the surrounding tree line of the flat. They move to another spot on the flat where the mud is more watery and water splashes and pools with each jab of their hoe. Their waders are covered in mud. The digger pauses a couple times to chat with Tyler and Carter, and later an engine sound is heard in the distance. Mud splatters on the lens of the camera, creating a dark spot that covers a good portion of the lower right of the frame. After rising and digging periodically, the bucket is full over the brim at the episode’s end.
